Stumps Birmingham

Stumps 5-a-Side Football has been going for over 20 years & continues to play
on a Monday Night @ the Goals, Star City in Birmingham.

Stumps was based at Villa Park and started predominently as an Indoor
Cricket Centre but then introduced 5-a-Side Football and in its heyday
the centre had over 300 teams per week playing league football Mon-Sunday.

When the Stadium had to close due to Villa's Soccer Academy being re-located to Villa Park,
Stumps moved to the Villa Leisure Centre/Stockland Green/PowerLeagues @ Spaghetti
Junction before finally moving to Goals @ Star City, Birmingham.

Today there is a league of 6 teams who have continued to play competitive football
on a Monday night in a good enviroment and most of the players have known each
other for many years.

Teams and players go and others return knowing that there is always a Stumps League
to return to and this season a Cup Competition was introduced successfully and there is
also an opportunity now to play 5-a-Side Representative Football under the Stumps, Birmingham
banner again.
There will be competitions held involving the centres at Derby,Gillingham,Nottingham & Wolverhampton
and new centres as they open.
